Mythology | Mantra | Mudra

Offered on it’s own or as a Module for Teacher Trainings

Myth opens the mind and generates new insight.
Mantra clears the way, heals the heart, and frees the mind.
Mudra recalibrates the subtle body & connects the elemental energies of yoga.
Magic comes to life in this soulful journey.

Come and discover the archetypes and themes that we are all living out in daily life. The stories are alive and each of us a character. Your students will be spellbound by your stories.

If you’re feeling lost, without purpose and just going through life on auto pilot, this is your opportunity to regain your power and voice, to cultivate self care and self love so we can lead with our Heart.

This training is designed to help you find the aspects of yourself within the gods and goddesses, the characteristics of theirs you desire to embody, and the ways in which we can call on these deities to help you clear the non-serving aspects in our lives, rising to the callings of our heart's true calling.

Each day we will offer ritual storytelling, mantras and mudras to invoke and work with these beautiful guides, subtle movement, chanting, puja, and journaling.

By the end of this training, you will be able to:

• Tell a good story + share the wisdom of these insightful teachings

• Theme a class based on 3 gateways: Personal, Metaphoric & Philosophic (and how to weave it all in)

• More deeply understand the significance of your personal story & your path

• Develop a personal mantra practice (mantra clears the way, heals the heart, and frees the mind)

• Develop a personal relationship to the deities in a non-religious, non-dogmatic context (learning how to call them and work with them)

This course qualifies for 15 continuing education hours for yoga teachers through the Yoga Alliance.

Topics of study:

Kali—Transform

Working with the Kali mudra we will face our ego, moving through a spicy devotional practice. Prepare to transform, burning away all samskaras (old patterns).

Lakshmi—Soul’s Beauty

Focusing on the qualities of Lakshmi you will have the opportunity to come home to yourself, experience the generosity of spirit by freeing up the stagnant energies within the body

Lakshmi helps us to recognize the abundance that exists in our lives, the importance of balancing giving and receiving, and how to recognize our own worthiness to receive blessings.

Durga—Fearless Heart

We will explore a non-dogmatic approach to Ashtanga yoga with a emphasis on Bhakti, using mantras, mudras, sacred story and breath to connect you with your authentic self. Stepping into your Power and owning that it is your Birthright.

Saraswati—Creativity

In this journey we will explore the most subtle of the elements – Ether, Akasha, the space that holds all the other elements. We will flow through an inspiring, creative practice that opens us up to new possibilities and to our full potential.

When we learn to invite Saraswati into our lives we start to become conscious creators manifesting our reality.

Ganesha—Remover & Placer of Obstacles

The practise will focus on a flow to bring awareness to limiting beliefs and other obstacles that may prevent us from manifesting our Sankalpas (Intentions). Building physical strength, with a courageous heart and clear, focused mind, we can move mountains.

Hanuman—Serve with Love

He is the embodiment of devotion and service—the heart of Bhakti Yoga. Hanuman is the son of the wind and the breath of the heart. He makes the quantum leaps sourced by his inner strength of true devotion. This is the capacity of the yogin to serve from the deepest place of love and humility in the journey of life.

Shiva—Lord of Yoga, The 1st Yogi

Shiva helps us to transform and purify parts of ourselves that we want to let go of, that no longer serve us, transforming old habits or purifying our hearts from past pain. He has the power to lift the veil of delusion and let us see clearly and intuitively where the right path lies.

Krishna—The Power of Pure and Infinite Potential

Krishna is the embodiment of love and divine joy and destroyer of all pain and sins. He embodies joy and celebration despite having had many challenges in his life. Krishna is a beloved leader because he sees the good in all and loves everyone.

Expect a soulful journey to ignite magic in your body, mind and heart with the sacred stories and practices of yoga.
